Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021. She'll be CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her role as Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the advent and growth of space tourism. Kristin was raised in the field of space as the granddaughter and daughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she's reported on space policy during the Trump and Biden Administrations in FOX News. During that time she also covered two presidential impeachment trials, the 2020 presdiential campaign, as well as two attempts by the administration to stop the pandemic of coronavirus. Additionally, she was a frequent traveler with President Trump as well as Vice President Trump often. It included a secret visit to Afghanistan. Prior to becoming a part of the company in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Utilizing her expertise on the set, Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014, which specialized in making documentary-style films for clients of corporate nature, including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married to her daughter and three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
